CONTEST RULES

INTERMEDIATE DUCK CALLING CHAMPIONSHIPS

These contests are OPEN to any caller sixteen (16) years of age or younger. These contests will be judged on a “competition style” routine, which will be ninety (90) seconds maximum.

Callers will be judged against others in their age group only!

Judging will be done with five judges…the high and low scores from each round will be thrown out and the remaining three scores totaled. Each caller will call a minimum of two rounds when there are fifteen (15) or fewer callers in their age division.

When there are more than fifteen (15) callers the standard rules of a three round contest will apply, with cuts of approximately 50% after rounds one and two. In all cases the top five, plus anyone tied for fifth will advance to the final round. In the event of a tie for any of the top five place finishers the ties will be broken.

OPEN DUCK CALLING CHAMPIONSHIPS

These contests are OPEN to all callers! The contests will be judged on a “competition style” routine, which will be ninety (90) seconds maximum. Judging will be done with five judges….the high and low scores from each round will be thrown out and the remaining three scores totaled.

There will be a minimum of three rounds of calling, with cuts made after rounds one and two at approximately 50% plus ties. In the event there should be more than thirty (30) callers competing, cuts may be increased to a rate of approximately 60% cut after rounds one and two.

The final round will be a minimum of five callers, plus anyone tied for fifth. In the event of a tie for any of the top five place finishers the ties will be broken.

TWO MAN MEAT DUCK CALLING CHAMPIONSHIP

Rogers Sporting Goods World Championship 2 Man Meat Duck is OPEN to all callers. Callers can only call on 2 different teams and cannot call on same team twice.

THE FIELD IS LIMITED TO 30 TEAMS.

Registration opens at 8:00AM with a $100 per team entry fee.

The contest starts at 2:30PM and will be held at Rogers Sporting Goods, 1760 N Church Road, Liberty, MO. 1st-$5,000, 2nd-$2500, 3rd-$1500, 4th-$1000, 5th-$500.

The contests will be judged on a “meat style” routine, which will be ninety (90) seconds maximum. “Ringing” the call will disqualify the team! Judging will be done with five judges….the high and low scores from each round will be thrown out and the remaining three scores totaled.

There will be a minimum of three rounds of calling, with cuts made after rounds one and two at approximately 50% plus ties. The final round will be a minimum of five teams, plus any team tied for fifth. In the event of a tie for any of the top five place finishers the ties will be broken.

NOVICE DUCK CALLING CHAMPIONSHIP

This contest is OPEN to any caller who has never won another Novice, Open, or sanctioned State or Regional duck calling contest. Judging will be done with five judges….the high and low scores from each round will be thrown out and the remaining three scores totaled.

There will be a minimum of three rounds of calling, with cuts made after rounds one and two at approximately 50% plus ties. In the event there should be more than thirty (30) callers competing, cuts may be increased to a rate of approximately 60% cut after rounds one and two.

The final round will be a minimum of five callers, plus anyone tied for fifth. In the event of a tie for any of the top five place finishers the ties will be broken.

OPEN SPECKLEBELLY GOOSE CALLING CHAMPIONSHIPS

These contests are OPEN to all callers! This contest is the same format as World Speck. Open Specklebelly Goose Calling contests the following format should be followed and will be judged as stated.

It will require some contest “style” calling and hunting “style” calling (no long rolling contest hails).

Judging shall be based upon a contestant’s ability to bring in a simulated flight of geese using all of the following calls: 1) “Hail” call at least 3 or more, 2) Hard/Aggressive “Greeting or Come On” call, 3) Tone (soften) down your “feeding, ground noises, Murmurs and Clucks” call. Judging will be done with five judges….the high and low scores from each round will be thrown out and the remaining three scores totaled.

There will be a minimum of three rounds of calling, with cuts made after rounds one and two at approximately 50% plus ties.

In the event there should be more than thirty (30) callers competing, cuts may be increased to a rate of approximately 60% cut after rounds one and two. The final round will be a minimum of five callers, plus anyone tied for fifth. In the event of a tie for any of the top five place finishers the ties will be broken.

REGIONAL DUCK CALLING CONTESTS

This contest is open to any caller that has not won either a sanctioned national, regional or state contest. The contests will be judged on a “main street style” routine, which will be ninety (90) seconds maximum.

Judging will be done with five judges….the high and low scores from each round will be thrown out and the remaining three scores totaled.

There will be a minimum of three rounds of calling, with cuts made after rounds one and two at approximately 50% plus ties. In the event there should be more than thirty (30) callers competing, cuts may be increased to a rate of approximately 60% cut after rounds one and two.

The final round will be a minimum of five callers, plus anyone tied for fifth. In the event of a tie for any of the top five place finishers the ties will be broken.

STATE DUCK CALLING CONTESTS

This contest is open to any caller that has not won either a sanctioned national, regional or state contest and must be from the represented state the contest is for.

Proof of residency must be submitted at the final registration (Driver’s License or Student ID). The contests will be judged on a “main street style” routine, which will be ninety (90) seconds maximum.

Judging will be done with five judges….the high and low scores from each round will be thrown out and the remaining three scores totaled.

There will be a minimum of three rounds of calling, with cuts made after rounds one and two at approximately 50% plus ties. In the event there should be more than thirty (30) callers competing, cuts may be increased to a rate of approximately 60% cut after rounds one and two.

The final round will be a minimum of five callers, plus anyone tied for fifth. In the event of a tie for any of the top five place finishers the ties will be broken.

By paying the required entry fee each caller is presumed to have read and fully comprehend the rules as presented above.

Any questions should be asked and clarified before the start of the contest. The Contest Committee reserves the right to interpret the application of these rules and in all instances their decision shall be final.

ALL CALLERS MUST BE REGISTERED 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO CONTEST START TIME.

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN 8 AM SAT AND 8 AM SUNDAY.
